A recent Knowledge@Wharton article outlines the eight attributes of leadership in the book, Lasting Leadership.
Attribute number 4 caught my eye:
They can “see the invisible” – that is, spot potential winners or faint trends before their rivals or customers.
This pretty much sums up the purpose for the site here at Small Business Trends. I think trend spotting is a fundamental way to stay ahead of the competition and anticipate new opportunities.
