Hi Anita,

I’m the founder/co-developer of a membership plugin for WordPress.

This is precisely the reason we tell people to get away from Blogger. In fact, we even tell them to get away from hosted blogs at WordPress.com (the hosted version of wordpress), because wordpress.com won’t let you upload your own custom plugins which can really help you monetize your blog), or publish advertisements or affiliate inks.

You have to pay for extras?

Like what? I havent seen anyhting like that, there seems to be a plethora of plug ins etc

Blogger can do everything you had a problem with now and is completely free. WordPress you have to pay for extras.

Thanks for the write with I guess even after 3 years later people would be reading this post. I am in the mist of conveting the rest of my blogger blogs to wordpress blog. I also found it easy to monetise from affiliate networks and adsense from wordpress blogging.

That’s it. After reading this, I have finally made the decision to jump to WP before it’s too late. Have purchased a domain name and found a host already but was thinking of still using my blogger template. With this however, it’s definite. It will be WP for me from now on.
