Professor Cornwall Predicts Positive Outlook for 2006

Professor Cornwall, who heads the Center for Entrepreneurship at Belmont University, offers his 2006 predictions. He predicts a positive employment situation in the United States, with unemployment below 5% (considered an historically low mark and a very good number) . He goes on to predict that most new job growth will come from small businesses:

“New job creation will exceed 100,000 jobs per month, which is the number we need to keep up with growth in the work force. Most of this will come from businesses under 500 employees.”

The Professor is obviously bullish on the economic outlook for the near term, and optimistic about small business.

I see that small businesses is now a growing trend in the economy. Do you know any discussions on small biz outlook in 2006?

  2. Hi joross,
