Future Trends 2006 Conference Addresses Sustainability
The Future Trends 2006 Conference is taking place November 6 – 8, 2006, at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, Miami. Every year I get a flyer for this event and this year it looks especially intriguing, with over 60 speakers.
What caught my eye this year is the finale session which will be led by Wal-Mart. Tyler Elm, Senior Director, Corporate Strategy and Business Sustainability, will be speaking about the strategic and practical aspects of making the business case for sustainability.
I’ve been studying sustainability (also sometimes used interchangeably with “green business”) a lot recently. All the signs suggest it is a key trend for the future — and apparently Wal-Mart and the organizers of the Future Trends conference think the same thing.
