Dell will recycle your computer equipmentDell  just launched a new service where you can recycle up to 9 items of computer equipment for a fee starting at $25 each.  It doesn’t even have to be Dell equipment — it can be any brand.

This new Dell service, designed for small and medium businesses, follows on two trends that are growing in importance in the minds of business owners:

(1) Green trend — Dell recycles or disposes of your computer equipment in an environmentally responsible manner; and

(2) Data security concerns — Dell cleanses the data on your computer system.

You receive a report afterward showing you how your equipment was disposed of and how the data was wiped.

To initiate the recycling process, you have to call Dell.  Here is the Dell recycle website.  Here is a very good video that walks you through the process.

  1. What a great idea. I have at least two sitting around the house. Didn’t know exactly what to do about them without risking my privacy. I’ll have to look into this now. . .

  2. Wish this was available about a year ago. Would have saved me a lot of trouble with removing my hard drive and burning it. Another great option in the growing green trend.

  3. Really Dell is one of the best brands as so many coupons & deals are available at Couponalbum.com, try and enjoy…!!
