Introducing Jim Kukral, New Video Expert

Please welcome Jim Kukral, who has joined the line-up of small biz experts here at Small Business Trends.

I asked Jim to produce a series of videos that explain how and why to use social media sites — and do it specifically for Small Business Trends. The videos are designed for beginners — business people without a lot of time, who are looking for basic information on why and how to use Twitter in business.

I’ve known Jim for a few years now. He is very creative and active online. In addition to his personal brand site at JimKukral.com, he also runs the Online Video Toolkit, a free guide to creating professional looking video. He is also the creator of Twitterbacks, a site with free design templates for your Twitter page.

As if that were not enough, Jim invented Scratchback, a widget-based tip system that thousands of bloggers and webmasters use daily to earn a little money. Phew — he’s a busy guy!

To watch his first video post go to: How and Why To Use Twitter For Small Businesses

We’ll be rolling out additional videos over the next few weeks.

Many thanks, by the way, to Jim for working so hard to make these screencast videos as clear as possible. So many screencasts are fuzzy. Jim tested a variety of tools and procedures to come up with the best option for clarity.

PS,  a big thank you to Tim Grahl of OutThinkGroup, our tech developer here at Small Business Trends, for converting the video file formats and making it so we could insert the video into our WordPress posts and pages with a single line of code. Awesome!

Yeah, how exciting. Videos are always more fun to learn from than reading articles. Welcome aboard Jim! :)

    Jim,
Welcome to Small Business Trends. Looks like you take ‘giving value first’ seriously. Saw this post in Google Reader; as a result went to your page http://twitterbacks.com/. Great stuff.

Will be sharing that link with my peeps. Lots of people want to create custom Twitter backgrounds and it looks like you are making it easy for people to do so. Kudos to you.

I agree Amanda. In videos, you can learn faster and in two modes. Visual and Auditory learning.

    Welcome Jim!

  4. Wow. Another expert from Small Business Trends to share his blessings to us. :)

  5. Jim,

Welcome to Small Business Trends! Please tell me if you will create a Scratch//Back widget that will fit my EGO blog template. Congratulations to the personal brand award! I will check out the Personal Branding magazine. I will learn from your instructional videos in order to improve my forthcoming video email messages. I am thinking of buying a flip video camera. I got a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 when I ordered my Talk Fusion starter kit.
