4 copies of Wordtracker Keyword Strategies Guide to Give Away

guide to chosing keywords for small businesses It’s time again for my daily giveaway. (I’m giving something away or pointing you to a valuable freebie each day this week, because it’s my birthday.)

Today’s freebie consists of 4 copies of the Wordtracker Keyword Strategies Guide, written by SEO guru Aaron Wall of

A couple months ago I got my hands on a copy of the Guide, which is an electronic PDF document.  I even wrote a review about the Keyword Strategies Guide.  If you are wondering why you should read an 81-page report about selecting keywords, please check out the review.  I point out why keyword selection is so important — do it right and you can drive Web traffic and, more importantly, sales from using keywords either in your website/blog content and/or in your Google ads.

I thought the Guide was extremely helpful and written in a way that’s useful to entrepreneurs and business people.

Here’s how to participate:  leave a comment below stating why you want to learn more about keywords.  It’s that simple.  Leave your comment no later than Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Midnight (East coast U.S. time).  I will randomly draw 4 lucky recipients from the comments section.

  1. Hi Anita,

Thanks for all the giveaways this week and Happy Birthday!

I run a Virtual Marketing Assistance business and work with clients on Google Adwords and Analytics and feel this will be an invaluable resource to have for doing a better job for my clients.

  2. Better, stronger, more relevant keywords will help me improve my web site and blog and connect with more solopreneurs in the business startup phase. Then I’ll be able to find more people to help and I’ll be able to help them with their understanding of SEO as well.

I’ve heard Aaron speak before and look forward to reading more of his stuff.

  3. Google wants to give the best search results, and using the keywords that people are using will ensure you are in those best results. Pretty simple :) You can’t know too much about keywords!

  4. Recently charged with coming up with text ad/ paid search strategies for our clients and of course, I always want to learn more!

  5. So I can quit my day job and live off my web sites!

  6. I think I am a little bit strange, but I am fascinated by the SEO process. Although I am the webmaster for our company, managing websites is not my primary function nor is it my background.

I have been through Aaron’s site and many other SEO, many of which are obviously very slimy, and in my opinion, he by far has the most credibility of all the SEO companies out there.

I would love a copy of Wordtracker.

  7. Learn baby learn so I can Earn baby earn!

  8. Happy Birthday week, Anita !

I really need help with this website stuff. I know nothing and need to know how to attract visitors to my website. If keywords would help my web site to be higher on the google searches, then I need the info.

  9. Happy Birthday!

You can never know enough about keywords and it will help me to improve my online marketing service to my small business clients.

Thanks for your generosity on your birthday.

  10. I want to learn how to properly title my blog posts so that they draw the most traffic to my site. I’ve had a few hits, but I’ve had way more misses. I hope to learn how to increase my “batting average” for lack of a better term. Thanks and happy burfday!

  11. Mazal Tov and Happy Birthday Anita!

Because I want to be the next best New Media Douchebag! :)

No, not saying it in a sarcastic way. I am working on boosting my online/new-media marketing and PR skills, and wish to be the best at what I do.

  12. First of all, Happy Birthday!

It is so funny that this opportunity would come up today because I just decided one of the first things I need to learn how to do to set up the online presence of the little consulting business I’m starting with two friends is learn how to do keyword research. Our business is focused on small businesses and non-profit organizations and helping them develop sound Internet marketing campaigns through good design and copywriting.

Thank you so much for the chance to win this book!!

    ~ Tara

  13. Gimme gimme gimme!

    (oh yeah, happy birthday)

  14. Happy birthday Anita!

I want to increase traffic to my site – I have to get them there so that they can see what a terrific writer I am and buy my books.

  15. Happy Birthday! How great of you to give us gifts… shouldn’t we get you something?

I work part-time as an English teacher and am still trying to maintain my internet marketing consulting gig as well. Having this great resource will be amazing in my toolbelt of helpful information. Effective keyword strategies are key to a successful online marketing campaign.

Thanks much, and may you get everything you want for your birthday!

  16. Happy Birthday Anita!!!

Hope you’re having a terrific day and getting the best out of it.

Aaron’s book is a must read, so I’d like to get another copy to give it to someone as a present for his birthday :)

    Kind regards,

  17. I have been consulting small businesses for years on how to make their website strategies better and more efficient. In recent years, I have been directing that to my own work.

I am always looking for ways to improve abilities with design and seo techniques and this book sounds like it would help a lot!

  18. My company is having my coworker and me redo their website. This book would make my life a lot easier!

  19. Happy Birthday week!

I have read other books on selecting keywords. Perry Mashall’s stuff was particularly enlightening.

I am in a hyper-expensive keyword space. Any help in reducing that expense would be great. :)

  20. To increase my knowledge and skills so I can take my website and blog to the next level.

  21. My Mom runs a local office relocation company in the SF Bay Area. I’m getting her up to speed on SEO and online marketing tactics as she’ll be relaunching her company’s website shortly. She’s open, eager to learn more and wants to optimize her “online presence” but she’s admittedly old school and still prefers paper for instructions. If I send her 20 “How-To” links via email she’ll be thankful but archive it for some down time later, which may never come. If I give her a book, she’ll smile, say thank you and be flipping through the pages while sipping on her morning coffee the next day! I know my Mom. She’s an awesome business woman who just has her ways of getting things done :)

  22. I am putting together a website with above title and am wondering more about keywords and how to find what people are searching for.

  23. Happy Birthday! One can never stop learning. Aaron Wall seems to have a great handle on this stuff, and I like to learn from the best. It would be great to see if I can get my campaigns to be more profitable with creative and innovative keyword selection.

    Happy Birthday again Anita!

  24. I run a small marketing strategy firm that focuses pretty heavily on new media consulting in terms of implementing an effective game plan for entering the space not by simply choosing tools, but by making sure you have solid goals and strategies in place.

I’d like to know more about the back-end SEO aspects of the process (I know a good amount, but on certain things, and keywords is one I know only a surface level about).

  25. I’m a professional entertainer who could really stand to improve the SEO of his website. I have a lot to learn, and am dealing with the usual cash flow issues of any normal startup. This would seriously help me get a leg up on my internet marketing education!

  26. So I can be a fulltime blogger and at least earn 2K USD a month.

  27. I want to learn more about one piece of the internet marketing puzzle…

  28. Happy Birthday!

Great site, wonderful feeds, awesome giveaways!!

I recently began subscribing to your feeds and almost immediately found myself visiting your site daily. Without or without the swag, I’m hooked!

    Best regards,

  29. Knowing more about keywords would really help out my business!

  30. I run an ecommerce site and will soon open a retail store to support the site. I’ll be taking on a partner to run the store. For years, the site has been profitable, but now it will really have to perform in order for me to pull my weight.
I’ve never had a solid strategy for keywords. I have followed countless hints and tips, but I know there has to be a better way. A couple colleagues of mine have pointed me towards WordTracker but I haven’t taken the plunge yet.

  31. Our new website promoting our discount real estate listing service is about to launch next week. I have personally spent hours working on the site making it simple, yet informative. The last stage for me is SEO. I have skirted the issue for as long as I can, No I must act and I know the importance of using keywords to drive traffic. I need some guidance – time to pull out the Big Gun – Aaron Wall.

  32. I’ve found, as I’ve been building this site, that proper selection of keywords makes a huge difference in how a page is found and, consequently how well you can monetize it.

And the correct keywords are not at all intuitive.

I’m trying to revolutionize my niche (needlepoint) as well as make a living from my sites, so this book would be unbelievably useful to me.

    Keep Stitching,

  33. Blogged about the contest at

Hope that gets your contest more exposure.

I would like to learn more about keywords because I want to try affiliate marketing – a area I would love to try but never tried since I considered myself as not a good marketer. Also I would love to promote my 2 year old forum aggressively using PPC campaigns. And this guide can definitely help me.

  34. Hey there Anita!

What neat idea- give away presents on your own Birthday! Happy B’day!

Wow, I would really love a copy of this book because I am launching my web site in Feb. and I’m just beginning to build the site. I’m currently working on SEO info so this book would be invaluable! Thanks for your consideration.

-Kelley (a.k.a. The Mineral Makeup Coach)

  35. You can NEVER learn enough! : )

    I am in. Great contest!

  36. Happy Birthday! Don’t you love it when your birthday lasts a whole week? I think we should just make that standard policy for birthday celebrations 😉

I just spent two 14-hour days optimizing one of my websites. It was grueling. Throughout the process, I kept wishing I felt just a little more confident about the keyword research part of the process. Getting the site itself tweaked for Google is pretty easy but picking the keywords to use – I still feel like I’m on shaky ground there. I could really use an SEO resource that deals specifically with keyword selection.

  37. Anita, Thank you for your offer.

I really need to learn so much more about key words.
My new web site (working on it now) will be managed by me so it’s essential I learn everything about key words to maximize my success and to give more value to more entrepreneurs and business owners

Keep up the good work Anita! You are appreciated.

  38. What a kind offer! In a month, I will work for a lawyer to design her website, and I want to learn more about keyword strategies and how I can apply them. It is also information I have wanted to learn for some time now, but it was never necessary until right about now. Thank you for your consideration.

  39. This is a great resource. I had the opportunity to talk with Aaron and Wordtracker’s Ken McGaffin about the book and the strategies in it. Feel free to check it out:

  40. It sounds interesting and I’m a noob at this field so I’d love to learn.

  41. I share my passion for the BA profession in my blog,, and want to make a solid contribution to my profession through this work. Learning about keywords will enable me to reach a broader audience through search.

  42. I can find more than 1000 ‘different’ keywords in my Google Analytics. I wonder how can I chose some keywords from that list and capitalize on it :(

    My Blog-

  43. Happy birthday

    To increase my knowledge!

  44. Happy Birthday!

What an awesome offer. I would love to have a copy of the book so that I could get more of a presence on the web and help people find what I have to offer to improve their quality of life.

  45. My company put me in charge of online marketing. I am clueless. absolutely.

  46. Happy Birthday! :) Thank you for offering such a useful giveaway. I am trying to learn more about keywords in order to make my blog more useful to others.

  47. I’m an interior design consultant, writer and pet sitter in Austin, Texas. Notice how “marketing expert” wasn’t in that list? It’s because I’m no expert, but I’d like to at least be proficient at it. I have a passing knowledge of keywords, and while I use them a bit, I have a sinking feeling I’m not using them nearly as effectively as I could be. I’d love to know more.

    And happy birthday.

  48. Hi Anita,
    Happy Birthday!
I found out about you from listening to Yaro Starak’s October 8, 2008 teleseminar that he holds about each week and your website was mentioned. I found your website interesting and wanted to know more, especially about your daily birthday freebie. I want to learn more about keyword research and would be excited winning a copy of the Wordtracker Keyword Strategies Guide to help me with my blog on Ferraris. I am presently a student of the Blog Mastermind.
    Thank you.

    Yours sincerely,
    Rick Resch

  49. Happy Birthday Anita. I wish I could have a copy of this Wordtracker book as I believe it will definitely help me in my business venture.

  50. Correct keywords strategy is absolutely essential, I’ve seen that with my first website. I’m setting up another website for my business and want to do even better than the first time so I’m in urgent need to read THE Book!

  51. I’m new to SEO and trying to learn all I can about creating good keywords for my site. I’m starting to think it’s hopeless because I blog about so many things. My site is named Random Detox after all. But I bet that book would help!

Hope you had a wonderful birthday!

  52. I would like a copy since I am always trying to enrich myself. My mother suffered from very early alzheimer’s, and I learned that keeping the noggin active can slow progression of those types of problems. I am thinking ahead. :)
