Small Business Trends

AT&T is running an ad here at Small Business Trends for their small business contest.  Since it is a contest in which you could win a slick new BlackBerry Bold — and get some recognition as a business owner — I thought I would call it out for those of you who read the site via RSS feed. 

Here’s how the contest works, as I understand it. You nominate a small business owner who deserves recognition, and you get a chance to win, as do the small business owners who are nominated.

The contest is giving away a total of 72 Blackberry Bold units.  Forty-two (42) of them will be given away to those who nominate a small business owner. 

Anyone can nominate a small business owner.  However, the small business owner must meet certain criteria:  run a business at least 3 years old with between 3 and 10 employees.  The small business must also be located in the United States.  You can nominate yourself if you meet those criteria.  Anyone nominating will be entered randomly in a draw to win one of 42 BlackBerry Bolds.

Then in February, 3 grand prizes will be awarded to the small business owners who are nominated who get the most votes.  The 3 grand prizes each consist of 10 Blackberry Bold units. 

The Blackberry Bold they are giving away is packed full of features — it’s like a little mini-PC.  It has a full Qwerty keyboard.  It also has built-in GPS and a 2-megapixel camera, and doubles as a wireless modem for your laptop when traveling.  Check out the BlackBerry Bold here.

It was a little hard to figure out how the contest works, but I hope I have that right from reviewing the contest site.
