  1. As a young entrepreneur who is self funding everything, and plans to bootstrap as long as possible, this summit would be an incredible and much needed experience.

  2. I would Love to attend this years summit so that I can meet and talk with people who have done what I wish to do- In doing so following my fathers advice, “surround yourself with people smarter than you” I want to LEARN ;0)

  3. After getting an MBA, I feel stuck in Neutral – with great ideas, but not quite enough motivation and information to push forward. I’d love to talk to some people who have actually made the jump, and learn from them how best to make my dream a reality.

Like Shelley, I’d love to learn from those who know better than I do.

  4. Anita,

Have a good time at the summit! I will visit New York City, but I don’t know when yet.

I want to attend the summit in order to feel today’s pulse of the small business world. My long-run goal is to establish a business on the North American market, so it would be a perfect opportunity to attend the Small Business Summit in NYC! :)

  5. Anita – this is great!

I would like an opportunity to do research for my book on starting a business / reshaping a business in a recession. This conference would be an outstanding opportunity to talk, not only with attendees but with vendors — recording interviews, liveblogging, tweeting, and if I can learn it in time (I think I can, I think I can…) doing some live interviews via blogtalk radio.

Please please may the gods of random drawings favor me!

  6. Because I would like to help small businesses that attend the event!

  7. I would like to attend this summit because we are in the art business, and I’m trying to learn more about business in general, so I can apply it to OUR business. Working in the art industry is inspiring, but it is a tough field to be in when times are tight.

I would find it of great benefit to hear about getting and keeping customers for life, and am pleased that it’s the theme of this year’s Summit.

Really hope to win a ticket!

  8. I’ve been living in a small business vacuum. I have a ton of experience with building a successful blogging business and attracting people on the internet, but I’m less experienced in the traditional business ways. This event would be a great opportunity to see other small businesses in action and to learn how they work. More specifically, I’m looking forward to the panel on “Tips for Thriving When Customers Spend Less.”

  9. I would love to attend this event because my target customers are small independent retailers and I’d like to get more insight on how their businesses are doing in today’s economy, network with them, and basically learn how to identify their needs so I can serve them better!

  10. I want to go to the Small Business Summit because I started a small business in December 2008 and want to be among the best and brightest in 2009!

  11. Hey Anita,

Very cool idea! I was toying with the idea of going anyway to see what the buzz is about, so this is a great opportunity. Thanks. : )

  12. I went to the Summit two years ago and loved it. It was a great networking opportunity and I learned a lot about starting up my business. I’d love to attend again this year to see if I could take my business to the next level (and do more networking), but economic realities mean cuts need to be made somewhere.

  13. I’d like to attend the summit to learn a few things from others and also do some networking.

  14. When you get me a free ticket and the event is excellent, which I am sure it will be… I will blab about it to everyone, my blog, my newsletter, facebook, twitter and so on. Karma at its best!

Please send me! I would love to attend the summit because I want to network with small business owners and help small businesses succeed.

In these troubled times, small businesses cannot afford to make decisions retroactively (ex. after their CPA’s quarterly report). I want to educate participants at the summit on how they could use their current financial data from QuickBooks and/or Excel to manage their businesses throughout the month.
