Pictures from Small Business Summit
Quick question: how do you think Ramon Ray got the crowd to assemble in the conference hall for the opening session at Small Business Summit last week?

By going out into the exhibit hall with a microphone and calling everyone in! BTW, I think that’s Shirley George Frazier in the brown pant suit there, heeding the call to head inside.
And then the tech producers played that song by the Black Eyed Peas, “Let’s Get it Started” which I include here so you can get a sense for it:
Meanwhile, here is another image of the exhibit hall during one of the breaks:

Many thanks to Grant Wickes of Wasp Barcode for the photo credits.

Great to see some pictures from the summit!
How big was the fair area?
Hi Martin… during the day, there was a photographer (Jeffrey Holmes http://www.jeffreyholmes.com) that was taking shots… he took a bunch last year that were terrific… so look forward to seeing this year’s!
In meantime, here’s a link to Shashi Bellamkonda’s pics… http://www.flickr.com/photos/drbeachvacation/sets/72157613351331870/
Grant,
Thanks for the link. Did you see the photo Jeff Holmes to of Steve Balmer?
Nice pics on Flickr. Regina Furfy and Jill Frechtman: I want to test Gourmetibles and Fretzels!
Could you tell me about the name of your company, Wasp Barcode? Is it the “stripes” of the wasp? I must admit that I am bit scared of wasps…
See, you can tell this event was put on by REAL small business owners. Who else would have played the Black Eye Peas song???
Martin: Besides a great photographer, Jeff is a super guy… if you ever need photos in the New York area…he’s the guy to call!
Re Wasp Barcode Technologies (www.waspbarcode.com)… real interesting situation… been in business over 13 years… we’re a small business with just under 50 employees. The name has no real meaning, but the brand is all about productivity solutions for small business.
For example, we use barcodes and tracking software to give small business a way to track things like inventory (parts & pieces that are sold or supplies that are used), assets (items like tools, computers, vehicles that are used within a business), employee time tracking, etc…
At the end of the day, it helps small business save money and improving productivity.
Grant: Thanks for your reply! Are working with RFID? Have you heard about mobile tags?
Just back from conducting two seminars in three days to see these memorable photos.
The event was terrific in many ways, including seeing you, Anita, listening to speakers, and hearing audience questions. The latter always provides insight on services business owners want most.
Let’s indeed get it started!
Shirley, it was great seeing you again! Like I mentioned at the show, I heard you before I saw you (when you asked a question in the opening session). It made me feel right at home to think I knew someone in the audience.
