Win a MediaSmart Server
Over at Harry McCracken’s Technologizer they’re running a contest you may be interested in. It’s pretty simple. You upload 3 YouTube videos or some photos and you will be entered for a chance to win an HP MediaSmart server.
Now don’t let the word “server” scare you off. This is actually more like a back-up system and it can be used in a home setting to back up, organize and store videos, photographs and other digital media. You can back up multiple computers in your home (or office), including Windows PCs and Macs. (Read more on the HP MediaSmart server.) It has a 760 Gigabyte drive, or if that’s too small (ha ha), a 1.5 Terabyte drive.
It’s really small, apparently. I’m judging that from the photo above, where you can see it next to a coffee mug.
I entered some videos myself over at Technologizer. Unfortunately, my favorite (Jennifer Hudson singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl) has been removed from YouTube by the NFL — too bad. But check out my videos, and then submit some videos or photographs yourself — the contest runs until March 28, 2009.
