Oh, Those Flashes of Money-Making Inspiration

Money making inspiration cartoon

This cartoon came while I was looking at some old Scrooge McDuck comics online for a blog.

Remember Scrooge? He’s Donald Duck’s uncle and he had that huge room filled with gold coins, gems and other treasure that he’d swim in. What a great image!

Anyway, I thought that it would be fun to draw and came up with these nonplussed coworkers in response.

One more thing: I noticed while writing this that I’d used the names Tom and Jerry, in that order, in the caption. Sometimes you just have cartoons on the brain.

  1. I used to love the Scrooge McDuck cartoons and haven’t even thought of those in years. Brings back good memories :-)

  2. :) Love it! He certainly does look like he’s onto something good. That’s so weird that you didn’t even realize you used Tom & Jerry until almost after the fact. I wouldn’t have noticed that either if you hadn’t mentioned it.

  3. Hi Mark, another cute one. Thanks for giving us another funny ending to a satisfying work week.

  4. I thought that all cartoons are supposed to pass on a message.

I can just figure what this one is trying to say

  5. Nice! I remember Uncle Scrooge’s dive into money as his favorite pastime. I read Donald Duck & Co. comic magazine as a kid. I have a very enjoyable memory from the my childhood when I saw an issue of the magazine in our mailbox. My parents’ had subscribed to the magazine for me! :)

Mark, Thanks for making my day! :) Have a jolly good weekend!

  6. I love this Mark! Another wonderful cartoon from you again! Nice to see you posting again. ;)
