Small Business Deals for Cyber Monday

cyber-mondayIt’s Cyber Monday — that famous online shopping day. And why shouldn’t it be a shopping day for small business people like us?

Well it is!

Here are a few hand-picked specials I recommend and hope you can take advantage of:

HP store — Our long-time sponsor here, Hewlett Packard, has some healthy Cyber Monday deals.  I personally purchase HP products (like my HP netbook which I reviewed here) because of the quality.   Here’s a link to small-business deals at the HP store.  Or, perhaps you’d like the consumer deals.   Or, if you’d simply like to contribute to those less fortunate, you can buy through the HP “Create a World of Change” website and HP will donate 4% of your purchase price to the charity of your choice.

Headway Themes – Do you have a WordPress site?  Tired of purchasing themes that are too difficult for a do-it-yourselfer to work with?  The Headway themes feature a visual editor so you can move things around visually.  You can also add many features without a lot of technical work.  Michael Martine at Remarkablogger uses a Headway theme — if you want to see what one can look like in action.  I have not used Headway Themes myself yet, but I am very impressed with the idea of a do-it-yourselfer being able to change it easily.  Use the following coupon code when checking out — today only — to get  25% off:  F8CD2E1483.

Lotus Jump – And don’t forget our deal on Lotus Jump, the online marketing tool.  You can get the Pro version for $20/mo for life.

  1. Great sales items!

I have already purchased the Headway theme, but I haven’t installed it yet. I will test it on my new [under construction] site, EgoSoleTrader.com and upload the Headway theme end of this year. I also like the visual editor as it in some way is similar to the simple dashboard at Blogger with “gadgets” that you could click on and drag around in order to rearrange the page elements on your blog.

    Anita,

Now that you’ve had your HP netbook for around 9 months, how have you liked it? Any recommendations you would make to someone looking at netbooks now? How is the battery life at this stage? Perhaps this is just a comment in reply or perhaps it’s a followup post, but let me know because I’m looking at some options right now.

  3. Nice! The Headway theme looks really nice. I’d love to be able to control my site design that easily. I think I may take advantage of this deal. Thanks for sharing it!

I took advantage of Lotus Jump offer and from first glance looks great and will save time. Probably should have bought long ago.

Anita, thanks for highlighting the deal.

  6. I have utilized Dell since the inception of my businesses — however, I have heard tried & true customer testimonials on HP. I think I am converted.

  7. nice post! so many tweets!

Now a dilemma – I HATE the Patriots (like all the Boston teams) but they are playing against Drew Brees and the Saints Monday night. Drew Brees just appeared in that disgusting commercial for socialism, tossing a pass to Teh Won on the White House lawn, in all its fawning glory. How can I hate anyone more than the Patriots? I think I just found out. GO NEW ENGLAND!!!!

Fishoutofwater on November 29, 2009 at 10:26 PMThat is something that is beyond me. Brees is totally supportive of the military at Gitmo and in the Middle East and visits them when he can. He also is very tight with the Manning family in New Orleans who are far from being liberal, much less leftist.

I never root for the Steelers, living in Dallas and all, but they don’t have a lying accessory to murder on their team, so GO STEELERS!!!

OHHHH! VOMIT! “United We Serve is supported by the NFL” commercial featuring Drew Brees tossing one to the One. Go to hell you socialist bastards.

Geez, where would the Steelers be without these phantom tripping calls? The 12th man tried but couldn’t invent a penalty on fourth down.

Where would these threads be without the cussing of the refs whne baby’s game doesn’t go like baby wants it to go?

FontanaConservative on November 30, 2009 at 12:02 AM

That was way out on a limb. A top ten ranked defense beating a third string QB?

WannabeAnglican on November 29, 2009 at 10:42 PM

The real almighty is gonna make dubious calls in the next life and the whole Anglican and Episocopal approach is gonna look even more fey than they do around here.

    Congrats to the Ravens.

Kermit on November 29, 2009 at 10:40 PMI’m pretty sure Brees was NOT happy being “asked” by the NFL to appear in an ad with Barry. Hell, I wonder if he even KNEW Barry was going to be in the ad, since there did seem to be a lot of green-screen effects going on. I’m sure he’s taking extra showers to wash off the humiliation he is feeling.

Ravens and Steelers both have a couple of “should-wins” coming up before their rematch in Pittsburgh. How they each handle those may be as important to their respective playoff hopes as the game against each other. Would someone please tell Rothlis…whatever how stupid he looks with his hat on backwards. How demoralized is Houston after they had the Colts on the ropes and couldn’t put them away? Go Colts!
If the Pats have any pride left, they will be out for blood tonight. I’ll go out on a limb and say it could be worth watching.

  18. It seems no one wants that last AFC wild card. I wonder who gets it anyway.

I still wouldn’t be shocked if it’s the Steelers.
