It is much more convenient when traveling than my old 7-lb laptop. Lighter too! With its 160-GB hard drive it's actually more powerful than my current desktop computer. I can't say enough about these new netbooks. I think the model I have is no longer sold. But HP (and other companies) have many netbook offerings to choose from. Get one with a metal exterior, same operating system as your desktop PC, and a powerful processor/RAM/hard drive. And an extended battery. You'll be good to go! Anita Robert, I love my netbook!
