It’s Lonely at the Top

It's Lonely at the Top

I often think of the writing portion of my brain like a big net. As I go through my day reading, listening and watching, stuff gets caught in there to be sorted through later.

That’s how the above cartoon came to be. I’d heard the cliche “it’s lonely at the top” one day while listening to radio driving the kids to school. A few days later I’d read something about phobias, including the common fear of heights, and the word “height” somehow jostled the word “top” loose and I got a rare writing freebie.
