Social media is here to stay and any progressive firms needs to think of this not as a burden, but an opportunity. It’s been my experience that adding a blog is a great way to add information and build customer relationships. You can check out my blog at http://www.storesupplyblog.com for an example.

In my opinion, social media–if you can’t beat it, might as well join it and now its time to embrace it.

Great article. Very true but what I find daunting is how users fail to grasp the difference in social media. Twitter is most effective as a prospecting tool much like an email blast; facebook is an excellent repository but if you try to use it to prospect you’ll alienate people.

In my blog Ingenious Business at http://bizmd.blogspot.com/ I talk about this. Look for Marketing pt 2.

    Cheers!
