Do It First, Talk About It Later


Some leaders like to talk about their grand plans to employees – which is fine. It gets everyone engaged and active in helping make it come true.

But be careful – it gets their hopes up, and if you don’t follow through, it’s a letdown. How many times can you do this before they think you’re full of pookey?

 

Do you announce grand plans of things you WANT to do so that you can partially experience the rush and adoration you’d get if you actually accomplished it in advance?
