As the economy continues to drag along, one might think that starting a business right now is not the best of ideas. However, the opposite is true! One scenario that exists which makes now a great time to start a new business is the fact that there is less competition because many people are simply focused on surviving, not thriving. There is also a head start on gains once the economy turns around as well as lower office space prices and wages.

  1. I couldn’t agree more. I think it might actually be a permanent solution to a new global economy. The salary for working for a corporation will continue to go down while people that are passionate enough will create companies. I’m hoping that by the time my daughter enters high school in the next 12 years becoming an entrepreneur will be looked at as if she wanted to be a doctor.

  2. Great post and infographic. I absolutely agree, now is as good as time as any to start a business. I defiantly encourage anyone who’s on the fence about it to take a good look at the info presented here and take that leap. It’ll be well worth it.
