Here Comes the Pain Point. . .Ouch

pain point cartoon

I don’t know when the term “pain point” entered our communal phrasebook, but it’s a term that’s just positively made for a cartoonist to have fun with.

You could have a doctor pointing at a graph in a meeting saying, “Does it hurt when I point here?”

You could have a company mistakenly install Pain Point instead of PowerPoint.

You could, if it’s an election year, do something with a cam-pain point.

Or you could have a fun afternoon drawing people wincing and writhing, like I did for this cartoon.

  1. So the graph’s kinda like a voodoo doll in that sense! He touches a particular point in the graph and his colleagues writhe in pain.

Lol re: PainPoint instead of PowerPoint! Some people actually do find PowerPoint presentations that painful and mindnumbingly boring. 🙂

  2. With this cartoon, I remember a time when I am discussing something at one of my business conferences on how well the company is performing. It seems that people are not as receptive to bad news. You will see them wincing like that while some try to hide it but you know that they are wincing deep inside.

    • Lol! Aww, bless ’em, Aira! I guess they were trying to be professional about it. Maybe they didn’t think it would be cool to show what was really going on inside.
