A Nice Little Turn of Phrase

cartoon7309

Sometimes a phrase just pops out at you and says, “Hello, I’m a cartoon!”

I’m reading an article in a magazine and the phrase “grist for the mill” appears. This immediately pops into my head.

It happens. It’s rare, but it happens. And when it does, experience has taught me to just go with it.

I don’t know what this guy has in mind for his 2 o’clock. I’m just glad it’s not me.

  1. Honestly, I think the phrase is really the center of this cartoon. More than that, I don’t really understand if it has any depth to it.

  2. Mark: What is the meaning of the word, grist?! 😉
