I think that wine, coffee and chocolates never fails. Wine may be a bit risky for some people don’t like to drink. But I think most are happy to have it.

  2. Last year, i gave all my coworkers air plant zen gardens and they loved them! http://www.airplantworlds.com/air-plant-desktop-zen-garden/

  3. So I have 100 employees, and I have to use my own money, let’s see, I’ll just buy everyone an antique camera clock, that’s 51 bucks, times 100, yeah my wife won’t notice that. Seriously though, these suggestions are bunk. Trying too hard to be original and coming up with garbage that nobody wants. Yard dominoes? That’s a re-gift, unless it hits the thrift store the same day. And Wine? What part of “clever gifts” am I missing?

If you have 100 employees, “JFK”, you’re probably looking at a gift card or a turkey — or no gift if you can’t afford much. Do a kind gesture instead. Give them a day off. Or bring in a team to provide massages or car washes free of charge for employees – their choice.

As a company grows, it’s hard to give anything other than cash/gift card or an inexpensive food gift. Or a group gesture or celebration.

    • Why don’t you publish some of your own timely wisdom then instead of simply picking the article apart?

  4. I always give Standardcocoa.com. Craft, artisanal chocolate delivered to their door… always met with such delight. It’s a great service that I discovered when I received a box myself. As a chocolate lover, I’m totally obsessed with it. Highly recommend!

  5. While material gifts are great, gifting an experience that they can choose from is something they will remember for a lifetime !

  6. Great ideas! Really got my brain going on some creative tangents. Many thanks
