  1. Great collection of articles. Thanks for including me here.

  2. It seems pretty difficult to find the proper balance between creating actual valuable content, and creating content that’s “share worthy”. I think one could argue that there is literally 0 value to be found on a site like Buzzfeed, yet their content is shared like crazy. On the other hand, an in-depth guide on how to do a thing will likely not get shared at all, even if it’s the most comprehensive, through guide you’ve ever seen.

Sorry, seems I went on a bit of a rant there. It’s just something I thought about after I read the post you shared here about creating valuable content. It’s also something that continues to bother me about content marketing to this day. It seems like a waste of time to make truly great content when I could just compile a list of 10 cat pictures and get 100x more social interaction than I would with a post I put actual time and effort into.

    • I found that if you have something to offer and you have done your best to ensure that it is in its highest quality. People will usually take notice and it is easier to compete with it.

  3. Sometimes, you don’t even have to completely different. You just have to tweak something that will be a great benefit to your target market. As long as they found that your product or service is more valuable than the competitor’s, then they will choose you.

  4. Social media is not optional. And it is not enough to just participate. You really need to engage with your audience.

    • I think that the best way to stand out is through proper branding. Once you have branded yourself well, people will remember you.

  5. Periscope is not that familiar with me. Any news on how it is doing? I think Snapchat is even doing better.
