Building Connections and Not Going to Pieces

If you follow me online at all, you know I have a thing for LEGO. In fact, until just recently my office was so filled with bins and boxes of LEGO that it was difficult to have more than one person in at a time.

What’s weird, though, is that I don’t do much about LEGO as a cartoonist. You’d think it would bleed over into my work. But one day, I ran across the fact that you can combine six 2 x 4 bricks in 915,103,765 different ways – and this cartoon popped into my head.

Even more weird is how difficult it was to draw an anthropomorphic 2 x 4 brick sitting in an office chair.

  1. Connections and Lego. I can see the metaphor there. But I don’t know why you said that you are not going places even with the connections.
