Mark O’Neill is a staff writer for Small Business Trends, covering software and social media. He is a freelance journalist and is also a contributing writer to MakeUseOf.com, PC World, NowSourcing, and eCommerceBytes (formerly Auctionbytes).
He has also done writing for GeeksAreSexy, Search Engine News, and Google Tutor, amongst others. For 6 years (2007-2013), he was the Managing Editor of MakeUseOf.com, a technology blog with 500,000+ subscribers. Originally from Scotland, with job experiences as diverse as debt collection clerk, Dutch bulb packer, government civil servant and English language tutor, he now lives in Würzburg, Germany, with his wife Monika, and his crazy dog, Schlumpf.
