Small Business Week Honors Regular Businesses

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that Small Business Week will take place the week of April 23, 2007. During the week the SBA will honor America’s top entrepreneurs through awards events held in Washington, D.C.

On the Web so many people write about technology that we can get a skewed view. It is easy to forget that the majority of businesses — while often relying heavily on technology in their businesses — are not in the business of technology.

Instead, it’s the businesses that touch our everyday lives in everyday ways, such as providing food and drink and caring for our pets, that tend to populate the small business ranks forming the backbone of the American economy.
