Ten Ways Business.gov Helps Your Business


Business.gov - impressive and helpfulThe U.S. Federal government websites keep improving, bringing government closer to the people.

My latest favorite government website is the new and improved Business.gov.

This recently revamped site is managed by the Small Business Administration. Not long ago I spent a number of hours exploring Business.gov and asking questions of the SBA personnel via email. It all culminated in my writing an article outlining ten useful — even unexpected — features of Business.gov, such as this one:

1. Talk to a real human being

Bet you didn’t think a government website would encourage you to talk with a live person. But Business.gov does just that. The site provides contact information for federal personnel available to answer your questions about complying with regulations. Amazingly, you’ll find actual names, direct phone numbers, and email addresses.
