SCORE Starts Women’s Success Blog

Washington, D.C. (July 11, 2008) – SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” announces the new “SCORE Women’s Success Blog” at the SCORE Web site, Four women SCORE leaders offer their insights, advice and fresh takes on issues facing women entrepreneurs across America. Meet SCORE’s bloggers:

· Peg Corwin, Chicago SCORE, Peg Corwin has held licenses as a certified public accountant, insurance agent, securities broker and investment advisor. She has demonstrated leadership in sales, finance, market research and management. Her industry experience spans nonprofits, real estate, financial services and investment consulting. She was recently listed as one of 73 Women Bloggers to Watch. She is the marketing chair for Chicago SCORE, where she is a SCORE counselor and mentor.

· Peggy Duncan, Atlanta SCORE, Peggy Duncan is a personal productivity expert, professional speaker, blogger and author. She travels internationally to help small teams work smarter and speaks to audiences on organization, time management and technology. Peggy has appeared on the Today Show, PBS and the Black Enterprise Business Report. She has been an Atlanta SCORE counselor and mentor for five years.

· Betty Otte, Orange County SCORE, Betty Otte is an entrepreneur with an executive Harvard MBA and 16 years of franchise experience. During her extensive career, she owned, operated, grew and sold numerous franchises. She is also a marketing and management expert. Betty is a district director for Orange County SCORE in California, and she serves on the SCORE Advisory Council. She is a SCORE counselor and mentor.

· Christine Banning, SCORE Association, Christine Banning is a marketing expert and the vice president of marketing and communications for SCORE. She leads strategic brand management, marketing, alliances, and public relations and communications. Christine speaks nationally on branding, entrepreneurship, marketing and small business identity. She serves on the board of directors of the Dress for Success affiliate in Washington, D.C. She is an honorary member of New York City SCORE.
