Introducing Mark Anderson, Newest Expert

Professional cartoonist Mark Anderson, aka AndertoonsProfessional cartoonist Mark Anderson, who does business under the brand Andertoons, is a regular visitor here and on other blogs.  His Andertoons daily cartoon is one of my favorite Facebook applications (because it entertains but is well-behaved and does not annoy like so many Facebook apps do).

Well now, you can get a regular dose of the Andertoons business humor here at Small Business Trends.  Mark will be contributing a regular business cartoon.

Even better, he’s going to give us a quick synopsis of the inspiration behind each cartoon.  That way, you can see a little of the inner thought processes of a business cartoonist.  Even more to the point, you’ll pick up useful business and management lessons, delivered with wit and impact — so you can smile and learn at the same time.

We had Mark as a guest on Small Business Trends Radio a while back.  He had a lot of insights to share about turning your hobby into a business.

Mark sells his cartoons to major publications like the Wall Street Journal and Forbes.  So I’m excited to have him here.

Mark’s bio line at Twitter says he is “Cartoonist, stay-at-home dad, bon vivant!”  His bio here says that he “lives in the Chicago area with his wife, son, daughter, dog, cats, and numerous dust bunnies.”  Tell me that doesn’t make you laugh.

Check out his first cartoon.  And please welcome Mark!

  5. Anita,
Kudos for making room for Mark here on Small Business Trends. Look froward to reading his posts. The back story is what is usually missing from blog posts etc.

  6. He is great !

He actually inspired me to do something I use to do as a kid for fun …..draw cartoons.

I then decided to draw one a week (not easy)
