Genbook Launches Facebook Application

SAN FRANCISCO (October 3, 2008) – Genbook, the best way for businesses to take appointments online, today announced the launch of its Facebook application, which allows customers to book an appointment through a small business’ Facebook Page with one click of Genbook’s new BookNow! application. The fresh and useful application is the latest product from the company which helps small-business service providers attract new customers and build customer loyalty through its easy-to-use online appointment booking and scheduling solution.

“My clients love that they can instantly book an appointment with me through Facebook or my website, day or night, for a time that works for them,” said Lauren Hasson, a.k.a The Resume Girl, of Dallas whose business provides career coaching for recent college graduates. New clients often hear about Lauren’s services through their friends on Facebook, and when they visit The Resume Girl’s Facebook Page they are able to book an appointment with her on the spot. “It’s almost no effort for me to fill up my appointment book, so it’s great as a business owner. As a consumer, I wish I could book all of my appointments this easily, so I’m telling everyone from my doctor to my real estate agent, ‘You’ve got to get this!'”

Since its launch in fall 2007, Genbook has helped small businesses across the country and in every sector – from chiropractors and contractors, to tutors and hair stylists – streamline their busy schedules with its trustworthy and fully customizable appointment booking tool which helps fill their appointment books while saving time on scheduling phone tag. Genbook’s new Facebook application is especially made for business’ Facebook Pages – as opposed to individuals’ Facebook Profiles – which will help small businesses in optimizing their Facebook presence.

“Facebook is increasingly becoming an important way for small businesses to connect with their customers,” said Genbook founder and CEO Rody Moore. “We know that when it comes to booking appointments, the fewer clicks a customer needs to make, the better the chances that they will book an appointment. Our new application gives small businesses an opportunity to turn their Facebook page-views into booked appointments, bypassing the need for customers to go to their website or send an email in order to make an appointment.”

  1. I learned about Genbook from Facebook. Nice service – but when I clicked on the appointment book of most of the salon using Genbook the calendar were all empty. I’m not sure if it is such a good idea to let all your customers know that your business is not doing so well???
