Introducing Your Friendly Neighborhood Computer Guy

Matt Rodela, Your Friendly Neighborhood Computer GuyRegular readers here at Small Business Trends will recognize the commenter who goes by the name “Your Friendly Neighborhood Computer Guy.”  By day he’s known as Matt Rodela.  By night he’s growing a computer repair business on the side.

And, oh by the way, he’s our newest expert contributor here at the site.

You may have already seen his first post, which was published earlier today:  4 Overlooked Strategies to Grow Your Service Business.

Matt’s been participating and commenting here for quite some time.  As he comments under a pseudonym, I made a point to try to get to know him (since I like to know who I’m dealing with).  And what I discovered was a Rennaisance Man in Matt.  Here is a little about Matt Rodela’s background, where he writes:

I have 7 years experience in the information technology industry, includingry, including 4 years in the US army as a trumpet player and computer technician.

I write about my experiences running a part-time computer consulting business on my blog

Along with starting and running my part time business, I also keep busy with my “day job” as an Enterprise Systems Analyst for a pharmaceutical company and moonlight as a singer/songwriter at I try to apply the lessons I’ve learned from my military, musical, and corporate experiences to find out-of-the-box and productive ways to achieve success while juggling multiple creative and business opportunities.

I grew up in Southern California, but currently live in Maryland with my goldfish Rufus.

Please give a big welcome to Matt!
