(Cleveland, Ohio – PRESS RELEASE -February 2, 2009) – Small Business Trends LLC has acquired the Web site called Small Business CEO (www.smbCEO.com).

The site was started by Steve Rucinski in 2004.  The focus of the site is on pointing out helpful tips, advice and resources that a CEO of a small business might find valuable.  Content is arranged logically according to the major functional areas and activities that a CEO oversees in his or her small business:

  • CEO Leadership
  • Customer Service
  • Economy & Environment
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Legal
  • Marketing
  • Research & Development
  • Sales
  • Social Media

With the acquisition, Steve Rucinski is now Editor Emeritus.  Amanda Stillwagon, a small business entrepreneur, has been appointed Editor in Chief.

Small Business CEO includes a Free Tools section, with helpful tools that are free or very low cost, to help manage and run a small business.

Says Anita Campbell, CEO of Small Business Trends LLC:  “I am thrilled to be able to continue on with SMBCEO.com.  I watched that site grow from its early beginnings as a Blogspot blog to what it is today.  While our flagship site, Small Business Trends, has evolved into a multi-author community site with a long-essay format, SMBCEO.com is a place where we can publish shorter tips and quick bits of advice and commentary.”

“I am thrilled that the team at Small Business Trends is acquiring Small Business CEO,” said Steve Rucinski. “Anita and company are the clear leaders in bringing value to the small business marketplace. I trust completely that they will continue to enhance the sites purpose of serving small business CEOs.”
