BatchBook Integrates With FreshBooks, Shoeboxed and MailChimp

Providence, RI (PRESS RELEASE – April 23, 2009) – BatchBlue Software, provider of the BatchBook social customer relationship manager (CRM) for small businesses and entrepreneurs, today announced BatchBook now integrates with FreshBooks, an online invoicing and time tracking service and Shoeboxed, a receipt and business card scanning service. The integration of these applications, along with an existing sync with e-mail services company MailChimp, are part of the launch of the Small Business Web partnership, a movement that brings together like-minded, customer-obsessed software companies to assimilate their products and make life easier for small businesses.

The integrated applications support the Small Business Web’s mission to simplify access between products and services that benefit entrepreneurs and smaller organizations and to help them succeed. The Small Business Web was born when representatives of the founding companies met up at this year’s SXSW Interactive Festival. They realized they were already beginning to integrate with each others’ products and more integration would be a real asset to small business owners who are trying to manage their data and run their businesses.

“The Small Business Web has been a very natural merging of businesses that think alike and act alike. We know our partners, we are customers of our partners and we feel very comfortable recommending them to our own customers,” said BatchBlue President Pamela O’Hara. “Providing a single place to access information from these trusted systems makes a lot of sense from our perspective.”

BatchBook’s new integration features and partnerships enable small businesses to:

* Organize and track contacts such as customers, prospects, vendors or industry acquaintances and monitor their social media activity including blog posts, tweets and bookmarks to gain insights and turn conversations into customers;

* Tie invoices, expenses and billing to account communications for faster bookkeeping and better oversight;

* Easily manage and follow-up with connections made at conferences or other events where business cards are exchanged; and

* Build a list, manage and execute email marketing campaigns.

“I’m always on the outlook for anything that saves me time and makes my life easier,” said BatchBlue customer C.C. Chapman, co-founder of new media consultancy The Advance Guard. “BatchBook allows me to keep track of conversations and contacts from every aspect of my life. I’ve tried others, but this one wins easily in my mind. The recent integration with Shoeboxed make it even more powerful and saves me hours of inputing data. It is always right there at my fingertips.”
