The Mrs. and I watch our budgets pretty closely. We don’t buy much that’s not on sale, we make good use of credit card points, and we use coupons. Lots of coupons.
My wife’s coupon organizer is less a money saving log than it used to be (local stores stopped accepting expired coupons), but a visit to almost any store without something that says “Save 50¢ Off Two” is rare.
So when I heard of some company being bought up by another on my way to the grocery store one day, the above cartoon just popped into my head. (You’ve got to love a freebie like that!)

You gotta love the coupons! 😉 I used the coupons that are in the store, e.g. coupons hanging close to a product like toothpaste, SEK 5 off the price. But nowadays I am using toothpaste with aloe vera and microsilver from a direct selling company.
Mark: T.G.I.G.F. today!;) Could you guess the acronym? Do you know the name of the day in Swedish? Your cartoon is a great ending of the traditional work week at the office! 🙂
Another excellent one, Mark, and very timely, too!
LOL… Reminds me of the time someone offered a side of bison in exchange for paying the marina fees they owed.
They never have coupons for the stuff I want, though! The coupons are like shopping on an empty stomach — you go in and buy stuff that you don’t really need, but because you save, you buy. Funny. I love the idea in your cartoon. Have you ever seen the t-shirt art at http://www.vcwear.com/ ? Maybe this could become a t-shirt!
Somehow I missed this on Friday but glad I found it now. Love it. I look for coupons before I purchase anything these days. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s cartoon. 🙂
