  1. Congratulations Jim, a great video that very simply lays out not only why small businesses should use YouTube, but how they can do it effectively. Your point about integrated results in Google are spot on. Ranking for the top 10 natural results is great, but with so many other types of results (video, local, blog, news, images, etc.) it is becoming increasingly more important to have your content in multiple places.

I have enjoyed Jim Kukral’s previous video tutorials, so I look forward to this one too. I have to explore the possibilities with YouTube for my business. Right now, I have some video clips of Morris the cat. I will help a musician and composer to use a YouTube channel, MySpace, Facebook page and a blog in the near future.

I will continue to use a special designed video email system in combination with YouTube. I like to send out video email messages that are incorporated with a nice template, graphical profile and a bit of “splash” & color to it.

I am wondering what Google will do with YouTube in the future. Is has a huge user base, but my wild guess is that Google has to spend plenty of time, resources and money on the free site. I will read “Google moves to show YouTube has ‘a very credible business model'” by Larry Dignan in the near future and try to follow the development.

Do you know if it possible to search for keywords “inside” a video clip?

YouTube’s not just for posting silly videos of sleepwalking dogs and other embarrassing moments — it can also be used as a highly effective business tool. You can use it to show off your expertise, share knowledge, market your products and connect with customers, colleagues and prospects.
    Thanks for sharing this video.

  4. Jim,

Hope there are a couple more videos on this 🙂

  5. Thanks for the excellent video.

  6. Great video tutorial Jim. I’m not familiar with using YouTube so this is very helpful. Thank you for giving us a thorough peak into the workings of YouTube.

  7. Jim,

Great stuff. Tons of business owners know that videos are a great marketing tool, but fail to integrate videos into their operations.

Recently, I shot a couple of videos from a small local gym with my flip! and we’ve gotten over 1000 views already.

Highly recommended strategy for any business.

  8. Good one.. just tweeted it

  9. Excellent overview Jim! Especially good for someone who is thinking (or hesitating) about YouTube… this overview should help get the fear out and help you get going…

Will definitely reinforce the idea of SEO mentioned in the video and by Robert Brady. Key effort of videos is the “google juice” and search results they provide. Spend time thinking about the title and description, incorporating the key search terms in Title and Description (along with the tags).

Also, recommend keeping videos to 3 minute or less in length… that seems to be the optimal time in a B-B type video.

  10. Hey Jim,

  17. Thanks a million, Jim, for the video. It was most helpful. We have an invention that just went into a major retail chain and were told that we should definitely post it on YouTube.
