Are You Going to be at CES? Join Me

CES ShowI am “uber-excited” to be attending my very first CES Show in Las Vegas from January 7 -10, 2010.  Will I see you there?  I hope so.

CES is the big Consumer Electronics Show.  The reason I’ve never attended before is that I live in the B2B world, dealing with small business products and information.  Turns out, though, that CES has a whole track for “small office” and all the gadgetry and technology that you need to equip and run today’s small business office.

This year, American Express OPEN is making an appearance at CES.  They are sponsoring a central place for entrepreneurs to meet and discuss what you’ve seen at the show, share insights and just network and connect with each other and some of us who contribute here at OPEN Forum.  American Express OPEN (which sponsors Small Business Trends) has asked me to attend and host two presentations – and I hope you will join me.

Here’s the schedule where I’ll be:

South Hall:  20925

• “How to Make Sure You Get Paid” – Friday, 1/8th   11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

• “Resiliency and Making 2010 Your Best Year Ever” – Saturday, 1/9th  11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Please don’t get the wrong idea from the word “presentations” – there will be lots of back and forth dialogue and I warmly invite you to share your insights and ideas.  And in the process you will have a chance to network and connect with other entrepreneurs.  My  sessions will be divided into three parts:

Speaking seminar

Moderated Q&A

Informal roundtable discussions

There will be some other great speakers those days, too, including Guy Kawasaki (I’ve been a huge fan of his for years!), my good friend John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing, and Tony Hseih the CEO Zappos who I am looking forward to meeting.  Plus a lot of the great people from American Express OPEN will be there, and even some of the folks from Mashable.

So bring your questions and a big stack of business cards, and join me at CES!  I’ll be delighted to see you.  (During the show you can reach me through Twitter @smallbiztrends).

  1. Anita: Have a great time at the Consumer Electronics Show and
in Las Vegas! Say hi to Marcy Shinder & Co. at Open Forum AMEX! 🙂 Do you know if we could follow your “presentations” on the web?

  2. Am I going? No. Am I interested? Yes. Have a great time and remember that all work and no play makes Anita a very dull girl! That said, I know that the buzz of meeting new people, renewing friendships may be all the relaxation you need.

  3. Hi Hazel, thank you so much for your nice thoughts. I think I’m going to be doing a lot of walking at the show — it’s huge. And also going to have a good time networking in between all the work!

Look for my tweets and blog posts!

    I haven’t been to Vegas since Blogworld09.

Have fun with Guy and John.
