Take It Up With Management or Just Ignore It?

I swear to God this happened.

I was working at a company and one of my good friends and coworkers had recently been promoted. While visiting his new office, I mentioned a problem that had cropped up with one of his old clients.

Then the above cartoon played out in real time.

We laughed, of course, and then fixed the issue.  But when a cartoon falls into your lap, you don’t ignore it. I went back to my desk, wrote it down, drew it up a week later and quickly sold it.

My buddy got a nice lunch out of it, and we still laugh about it to this day.
