Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?

Unleashing Bold Initiatives

I’ve had my share of job interviews, and for a while I was pretty good at them. I could chat at length about my experience, strengths, weaknesses and whatever else came up. But the question I hated the most was the chestnut, “Where do you see yourself in five years?”

I had an answer, of course. I wanted to be a cartoonist in five years, but that’s not what a potential employer wants to hear. They want to hear that you have an eye on management, salesperson of the year, etc….  Or at least that’s what I thought, which got me thinking along the lines of the cartoon above.

  1. Great cartoon today.

    I’m feeling a little on the “material” side of things today, so I’ll share where I’d like to be SITTING in 5 years;

    In a BMW M6 Coupe.

    Not sure on the color yet.

  2. Very witty cartoon! This could be a viral hit at HR departments around the globe. I will share it with some members of my BNI team.
