Roswell, Georgia (PRESS RELEASE – February 7, 2011) – On February 12, 2011, starting at 7PM at the historic Biltmore in downtown Atlanta, the Magic Wand Foundation (MWF), along with over 150 guests, will attend “One Magical Night” (OMN) in a Parisian theme, to not only celebrate Valentines Day,but also to make a difference for our youth. OMN will raise money for scholarships for MWF students who come from all over the world to attend the next Ultimate Life Summit held at Disney World this July 2-9th, along with other valuable and proprietary programs and services, offered throughout the year by the Magic Wand Foundation.
“This is going to be a very special evening of celebrating, with an open bar, dinner, dancing, and much more to help our youth live their dreams. All in attendance are sure to be wowed by the special events planned, which includes ULS alumni attending to entertain the audience, while sharing how they feel and what ULS and the Magic Wand Foundation has meant to them”, says Scott Shickler, CEO of Excent and Co-Founder of the Magic Wand Foundation.
“My twin brother Ally and I were separated for a week during the Haiti earthquake, and did not know if the other was alive until we finally saw each other. As a result of this horrific event, I told myself that I am going to do something to give back to my fellow Haitians, yet did not know how. After winning a contest in Miami, I was able to attend the Ultimate Life Summit for free, and that event, and I all I learned, especially the MWF 7 mindsets, completely changed my life. I can’t wait to share all this and more at One Magical Night, and encourage others to “Live To Give” which is one of the mindsets I learned, as I am doing so much for others while a freshmen in College in Miami. This includes starting my own non-profit with the help of the MWF and its four founders, called the Enlightenment Foundation,” says Steeve Simbert, 2010 ULS scholarship attendee.
The Master of Ceremonies for One Magical Night will be by local TV and Movie personality Tom Clark, who has appeared in such movies as Ray, and recently in Secretariat. Amy Martin will be running the live auction which will be a lot fun, plus there are some wonderful silent auction items as well, like a trip to Paris, a safari in Africa and over twenty valuable silent auction gift baskets.
“Last year, our Youth Empowerment Company, Excent, donated over $100,000 to the Magic Wand Foundation, as it was a great investment in our youth, while complementing our business which serves the education market on a global level. During recessionary times, this amount is unheard of, especially in relationship to the size of Excent, yet we believe so much in helping our youth find and then live their dreams. We seek to practice what we preach regarding the mindset of Live to Give. I can’t wait to see how much money we will raise this year, as all of it goes to the Magic Wand Foundation for student scholarships so that we can empower every student which is our mission”, said Shickler.
