SurePayroll Releases Small Business Hiring and Wage Data

Glenview, Illinois (PRESS RELEASE – July 10, 2011) – SurePayroll, the online alternative in payroll services, recently announced it has expanded its national Small Business Scorecard to include hiring and wage data for 34 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs).

As the first economic indicator created by a payroll company, the SurePayroll Scorecard has included hiring and wage trends each month since September 2004, providing national and regional data, as well as data for several benchmark states.

The MSA data will replace the state information, providing more targeted information about nearly three dozen metro areas. This change allows these populations to understand where they stand in terms of hiring and wage growth in comparison to the country and other MSAs.

SurePayroll President Michael Alter is a small business advocate who has been providing insights into the small business economy for nearly eight years. He says the best predictor of where our overall economy is heading lies in the small business market, and more specific regional data can help everyone understand our economy better.
