College Park, Maryland (PRESS RELEASE – August 24, 2011) – The Maryland Small Business Development Center (MDSBDC) Network announces the launch of CEO Advantage to help near million and million dollar businesses grow.
The Network, a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Maryland College Park, links private enterprise, government, higher education and local economic development organizations “We are thrilled to announce two new fall programs for business owners. Our CEO Advantage brings together those companies that have built solid businesses and have nearly achieved their goals. With additional guidance and tools they will reach their full potential. The Launchbox provides very practical marketing direction to help business owners define and reach their target market. Both programs are provided through the SBDC in a collaborative environment where business owners gain insightful, real-world knowledge that they can implement immediately,” shared Renee Sprow, Director Maryland SBDC Network.
“We are currently accepting applications, but due to the nature of the both programs, we will limit the attendees per session to allow business owners the ability to fully engage in the offered resources,” Sprow continued.
The CEO Advantage is a 12 week program that utilizes multiple learning disciplines, and interactive peer coaching in a non-competitive environment and offers specific individualized coaching for companies that have achieved $500,000 – $1.5m in revenue and are looking to get to the next level. This program is limited to 18 non-competing companies.
The Launchbox is an 8 week workshop that engages business owners in marketing, branding and public relations activities helping them to grow their existing organization, rebrand, and / or launch a new opportunity. The workshop is presented in a collaborative environment of up to 10 non-competing companies in each regional setting.
