  1. System is very important as well when running a business. Though, starters may found it difficult to create effective system to run the business at the beginning. They will eventually adjust this system when they can conclude the errors during dry run.

  2. Great list of small business resources. For me, self-development is the most important trick of all, since it should all start on developing ourselves to develop others. Just like when we want to motivate other people, we need to motivate ourselves first. Self-management is a prerequisite to manage others.

  3. I personally find the 8 X 5.5 Inch mailing postcards a productive use of marketing dollars. They have to be done right though – funny, compelling, call to action. There are many companies on the web that do a great job at helping you create a postcard, and print it up for you at a very reasonable fee.

    If you’re looking to target a specific geographical area – I suggest using Microsoft MapPoint, Word and Excel to create labels for your target prospects.

  5. Interesting points on ways to build a spectacular team without damaging your ego. A good entrepreneur is someone who know when and whom to delegate. Once a task is delegated, he should be able to trust that person to do his part without so much intervention than necessary. Some “micro-managed” their staff that eventually leads to stress and discomfort on both parties.
