Introducing: Business Gift Giving Guide for the Holidays

Here in the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday (officially one of the biggest shopping days of the Christmas Holiday season) is almost upon us.

And just in time we’d like to share our Guide to Business Gift Giving for the Holidays.

Business gift guideWe’ve assembled a comprehensive collection of resources to help you.  These resources include:

  • Basics (who you should give to; gift giving mistakes to avoid; and packaging and shipping tips).
  • Budget (deciding between cash, gift or a greeting card;  how much to spend; low-cost gifts for tight budgets).
  • Gift Ideas (gift ideas specifically for business associates, clients/customers and employees; and last-minute gift ideas)

Best of all:  it’s designed specifically for small businesses and entrepreneurs, for business gifting.

You might wonder why we didn’t just put them in a single article.  The reason is simple:  there’s so much there, it would be too hard to read everything on a single page. That’s why we set up a special page where you can find everything in manageable chunks.  Please enjoy!

  1. Awesome idea Anita! Have a great Thanksgiving.

  2. Anita:

Great resource! I will explore it in detail and spread the good word! 🙂

Talking about gifts, I have recently registered the domain, NameDayGift dot com (“the gifted place for your name-day celebration”), for a new venture I have been thinking about for many years. Here in Scandinavia, and other parts of Europe, e.g., Hungary and Greece, you celebrate given names according to a name-day calendar.

Think if you would start this kind of celebration in North America? In Hungary, you are giving small gifts of appreciation to your co-workers on their name-days.

For your information, my name-day is on November 10! 🙂

  3. Anita – this is a great resource. Great to have the “gift management wizard” at your finger tips. If it’s helpful for your readers, I also wanted to share two blog posts about holiday gift giving – 1 from my company, and one from HubSpot (another Boston-based company). Here they are:

As a small business owner and entrepreneur, my key pieces of advice would be:

    1. Don’t send “chachkis”,
    2. Set a budget, and
    3. Assign an owner to manage the process

    Maybe obvious, but sometimes overlooked!
