Giveaway: Why Do You Need to Be Hands Free While Working?

Voyager Legend UC headset

UPDATE: Congratulations to the winner of the Plantronics Voyager Legend UC headset – Michelle, A Dish of Daily Life (@DishofDailyLife)!

Do you love your smartphone or tablet?  Of course you do.  You may not even be able to live without it. But if you’re like many of us, you don’t like holding that phone (or heavens-to-Betsy, that tablet) up to your ear.

Or maybe you use Skype throughout the day in your work.  But banging away on a laptop with the speaker on causes the people on the other end to complain about weird noises and interference. A hands-free headset would solve that particular problem.

So tell us why you need to be hands free, and you just might be the lucky winner of a Plantronics Voyager Legend UC headset. The sound quality is clear and it works with all kinds of devices. Read our review.

The Giveaway!

To enter for a chance to be the random winner, leave a comment below or tweet out a response using the hashtag #PlantronicsLegend, answering this question:

Why do you need to be hands free while working?

We’ll randomly pick a winner from the responses, and send you this beautiful headset.  Responses must be in no later than 11:59 pm, May 8, 2013. Open to those in the United States and Canada only.

Many thanks to Plantronics which is providing the headset for this giveaway.

  1. I need this headset so I can listen to Adele while I work!

  2. #PlantronicsLegend is one of those necessary items to ease a day of online work. It would be great to be wireless instead of tied to your workspace when it’s known that prolonged sitting is unhealthy.

Besides the safety factor, it is simply more convenient to be able to answer a call without fumbling about for my phone. Even better when I have the ability to answer however the call comes in — either from my tablet via Skype or my phone.

  4. Great contest!

I have to laugh at the “banging away on a laptop,” statement.

That’;s me; I’m probably the loudest keyboard typist east of the Mississippi.

    Just ask my family!

A hands-free headset would be a welcome addition to my suite of tech tools-especially since i AM using Skype more for my business.

A headset would help me multitask effectively. Sometimes taping my cell phone to my head doesn’t work!

There are so many reasons to be hands free that I can’t mention them all. But for me, the biggest factors would be speed and efficiency. The bonus factor would be the ability to easily shove cookies down my throat while working – cookie monster 🙂

  7. My massage clients would be very happy to listen to tranquil music, while getting their massage, from wireless headphones.

  8. Rhonda S. Tenderholt

I would use this while walking the dogs or driving for safety reasons.

  9. Hands free will allow me to get my work done more quicker and in an efficient manner, whether it’ll be typing out agendas, writing out formulas, or even drawing out plans–I’ll be able to multitask and still be able to take calls. #PlantronicsLegend

  10. So I can type and work at the same time.

  11. It would save me from a lot of back pain from holding the phone to my ear a good portion of the day! I don’t know why I haven’t done this already!

  12. Working with my hands is how I do business. Answering the phone takes one of my hands away, thus cutting my working ability in 1/2. Until I can learn to use my feet for more than walking, handsfree is the next best option.

  13. I spend WAY too much time on the phone during the day. It cuts down on my productivity and makes me worry that I am going to develop a permanent crick in my neck. This Plantronics headset would solve at least one of these issues and make those hours on the phone a lot easier to take – and make it a little easier to wander off and refill my coffee…

  14. I need this!!! I multi-task at a speed of 10 things/minute, but only have two hands and one tongue.

  15. For me, I spend most of my day helping clients and training clients on their accounting software. I can often spend hours on the phone while working with them on their computers. Right now my solution is speaker mode, but where I work in a cubicle, it is annoying to share my conversations with the rest of the floor. Having a hands-free set would allow my to provide better remote service to my clients in a quiet and respectful environment.

  16. i want to these headset because i used have the same one but know they broke and i had time talking to my friends. it hard to do anything on laptop because i always use the headset.
