Things Aren’t Looking Good

things aren't looking good business cartoon

I saw a lot of movies this summer. For the most part, I enjoyed them all.

But unexpectedly, my favorite by far was not any of the various superhero reimaginings, sequels or prequels. It was Pacific Rim, where giant mechs fight giant monsters from below the sea.

POW! ROAR! PEW PEW! HEE-HEE! FUN!

So when I was drawing a new bar graph cartoon and the bars looked like tall buildings – adding in an angry kaiju just couldn’t be helped.

  1. Ha! Ha! Mark, this guy looks more like Godzilla. But it’s the same genre, I suppose. I haven’t seen Pacific Rim, but all kidding aside, it might be nice to have presentations like this once in a while. What a way to wake up your customers, clients or partners about a trend going horribly wrong.

  2. If only people would actually put things like this in real presentations. Would make for fewer boring meetings.

  3. I actually initially thought they were looking out of a window.

Don’t mind me. I get it now.

I’ve heard good things about Pacific Rim. I don’t think I’ll like it – not really my kid of movie – but I’m up to the challenge. 🙂

  4. This ‘Godzilla’ behind bar graphs that resemble buildings certainly looks creative. If more formal presentations have this kind of imagination, there will certainly be no more boring meetings.
