  1. They said that Google Plus is essential for ranking. It is like these social shares weigh more than those shares on Facebook and Twitter. I guess it has something to do with Google owning it.

Honestly, instead of writing a post about all the articles you’ve written concerning Google+, I would’ve much preferred to see one more articles highlighting the best and most boring aspects of those articles with links to each. I took one look at all these articles and said to myself, “Who has time to read all of them? I don’t”.

  3. So, Ken, you want us to respond by telling you which of our articles aren’t worth your time? LOL I’m trying to picture how I’d write that article and still keep my job. 🙂

No, I was just trying to say that as a busy small business owner, it would be easier to browse through the most important ‘Tidbits’ or tips within the articles rather than have to read through all of them.

Incidentally, since we started working out for Google+ account a year ago, we’ve definitely seen improved traffic to our website via our Google+ page so for what it’s worth, Using using this social media platform definitely has its advantages over, say, Facebook or Twitter. At least in our industry.

    • I’m sorry Enviro, but I have to agree with Shawn on this one.

Look at all the quality in this single post alone!! I can’t believe that even though you’ve found Google Plus to be very beneficial to your business, as a small business owner, that you’d critique it as a “waste of time.”

Obviously, many of us website owners are limited with our time, and I understand that completely. But having to research other quality content in order to improve our very own business, and help leverage it to an even higher degree, is just as important, if not more than using that time to write another blog post or page.

Nonetheless, I just want to point out, that by simply looking at the article from a wider perspective, you can immediately tell by his headlines, what may be of importance to you, and what may not be:
      -“10 Google Plus Plugins”
      -“Creating a Google Plus Page”
      -“Improving your Profile”
      -“How to utilize Hangouts”

Ultimately, it’s an excellent layout of an article, and something I figured you should consider when reading other articles or posts as well, as many people fail to use this effective technique for us readers to help us save time.

      That’s all!

      Thanks,
      Pete

  4. Very helpful and useful post. Simple, clean and to the point, I like it. .Thank you for sharing this Shawn
I have learned a lot from this. I do use G+ but not to its full potential.
I now have some more to do on my Google+ pages.

  5. I think this is a waste of efforts because Google + will be gone within the next 3-5 years.

    • If it does (gone in 3-5 years), I strongly feel that another dog with the same collar will rise from the ashes.
