I recently ran across that old chestnut ‘expect the unexpected’ in a newspaper article and for a reason I don’t entirely understand, it kind of ticked me off.
Being prepared is one thing. But I submit, it’s entirely unreasonable to exist in a state of constant anticipation of something completely unpredictable, and then to be chastised for not being ready to handle said something.
It took a while to pair with “not living up to expectations,’ but I do feel like I made some small stride for rational expectations. You’re welcome.

Haha but this happens a lot in companies. It is actually kind of funny. They usually say that they will adjust to what will happen but they have certain expectations on how it should happen.
