How to Use Doodle to Market Yourself for a Dream Job at Google

How to Use Doodle

Did you know that more than 2 million people apply for jobs at Google each year? So how in the world are you going to stand out?

Lisa Vertudaches, an illustrator and animator in Adelaide, Australia, came up with a pretty brilliant answer. She used Google Doodle to create a 50-second animated video to supplement her resume. The doodles, which reflect parts of Vertudaches’ personal life and professional skills, show her fun and creative side.

Working for an impressive company like Google would be extraordinarily exciting. How would you stand out against the millions of other applicants?

  1. Love the idea, but hopefully too many people don’t catch on or it could become passe and start to annoy the HR people at Google.

  2. It’s a great way of presenting yourself because you get to do it in a creative way. I am thinking that resumes should also move towards becoming an image-based resume as it is more appealing.

  3. As always creative and fresh presentation can only be beneficial for a job application. Love the idea of Lisa, a successful candidate should always try to be recognisable and stand out from the rest.
