Sage and eFileCabinet Introduce Document Management in the Cloud

Sage and eFileCabinet

A new partnership between Sage, a company that provides innovative solutions through the use of technology, and eFileCabinet is being forged to offer a comprehensive business management platform.

Having a solid accounting system in place is one of the principal foundations for ensuring your business runs smoothly. In the analog world, this meant a lot of paperwork that had to be filled out and archived manually. It’s a time consuming process no matter how you slice it.

Even though there are numerous applications that have been designed to simplify many of the processes in accounting, a lot of companies, especially small businesses, still rely on paper.

This, of course, means file cabinets, storage, and the danger associated with having valuable information in one location.

Under the Sage and eFileCabinet arrangement, both companies are going to combine their technologies to give accountants a simplified path to cloud migration to increase their level of efficiency. The days of having to manually scan, store, manage, and share records and documents are over.

Jennifer Warawa, global vice president of product marketing for accountants at Sage, says in a statement on the deal:

“Our recent research has shown that nearly one in five firms view cloud document management as being a tool that would significantly improve management of their firm; yet more than 20 percent feel as though their needs aren’t being addressed today. We recognize the importance of meeting the needs of accountants by either creating those solutions ourselves or through strategic partnerships, and in this case eFileCabinet provides a great solution that will benefit our accountants,”

As a hosted electronic document management (EDM) solutions provider, eFileCabinet stores, searches, and shares documents for CPAs and accounting firms.

This includes a robust document security platform and regulatory compliance strategies to meet IRS, eSign Act, Department of Labor and other regulations. However, it can capture, manage and protect data regardless of industry.

Users of the cloud-based Sage Impact can now sign up and use the eFileCabinet cloud document management solution in the Sage Impact dashboard. As an open platform, Impact is designed to easily integrate different applications. In this case, the eFileCabinet EDM solutions will seamlessly add new functionalities to improve both platforms.

Sage Impact is an all-inclusive management platform with access to payroll, accounting, financial management, business intelligence, community, new business leads and more in an online central hub. Accountants, bookkeepers and administrators can benefit by using the hub to connect with others to find out the latest developments, technologies, features, tips and tricks.

According to Sage, the APIs/SDKs of its One Accountant Edition, Sage Live and other products will also be integrating eFileCabinet in the future. Matt Peterson, CEO, eFileCabinet looked forward to future collaborations and he went on to say:

“The tight integration with Sage Impact will enable our joint customers to manage their businesses with ease, efficiency and accessibility. Accounting firms are now empowered to quickly and easily manage client files, improve administrative tasks and increase productivity with eFileCabinet via Sage Impact,” said Matt Peterson, CEO, eFileCabinet.”
