Is Video Marketing the Key to Successful Crowdfunding?

Did you know that more than half of all crowdfunding campaigns fail? The failure rate is 56 percent to be exact. But that means that 44 percent do succeed.

To dive deeper into the world of crowdfunding, digital advertising agency Fusion 360 created an infographic called “Crowdfunding and Advertising: A Game of Numbers.”

The graphic takes a closer look at some of the statistics behind these campaigns. For example, the average campaign goal is between $3,500 and $5,000 and the average crowdfunding donation is $88.22. In addition, campaigns that use videos raise twice as much as those that don’t and 30 percent of people who choose to donate are repeat donors. Zooming out even further, in 2013, crowdfunding raised $5.1 billion globally.

  1. By my opinion, video marketing is a must for crowdfunding because if you expect other people to read all the information you provide, at least for the “fishing part” – you just will lose a lot of funders if you expect all of them to read 🙂
