How do YOU Say Business Success?

Business Cliche Cartoon

It’s been 13 years now since my last day job and this is exactly the thing I was glad to leave behind. I can’t tell you exactly how much cliche I was exposed to, but it was industrial-sized fully weaponized twaddle and there was plenty of it.
I heard it all from “there’s no I in team” to “it’s not a problem, it’s an opportunity.” I used to make Bingo cards of popular management phrases and pass them to friends to mark up under the conference room table.
Still, they did provide plenty of fodder for cartoons. And the Bingo was entertaining. So I guess it’s a win-win. (Dang!)

  1. Mark: Maybe you should create a business bingo board game? 😉

  2. Cliches are always used in the workplace because it is easy to remember. But how much it is implemented really depends on the leader and the team members.
